Yoga Therapy

Many of you are asking me what this is. Put simply, yoga therapy is very much like yogic personal training!

Personal yoga sessions may be used for any of the following reasons:

  • For complete beginners to get a safe introduction to their personal needs.
  • For more experienced students to ‘get to grips’ with a posture they struggle with.
  • To deepen understanding of the philosophy of yoga.
  • To develop skills in Meditation and Pranayama techniques.
  • For weight loss.
  • To develop strenght and stamina.
  • For pregnant and post-natal ladies.
  • To establish an understanding of the yoga texts.

Personal yoga

 

 

We begin by looking at your Dosha (constitutional type) and your symptoms/aims, and then we build a programme of diet, exercise, breathing and relaxation to suit you.

Classes are available at £40 per hour, including all written programmes, and are available to individuals and couples. I usually use Thorngumbald Village Hall for these sessions but other arrangements can be made.

The benefits of yoga practice are vast and well documented.
